We planned our first short missionary trip led by Ev. Yeh, and brother Guo Dan Jiang. to the coastal islands in August, 2000 after some CEC church members’ families/businesses moved there from mainland Spain. We visited Tenerife, Gran Canaria two islands, and organized meetings there.

In the beginning of 2003, brother Guo Dan Jiang opened a store in Gran Canaria for Gospel work and started visitation. After many prayers and planning, some mission coworkers restarted missionary work in the islands in the summer of 2003. They included several coworkers of CEC in Madrid and two EBI students Zhang, Jian and John Zhang from Paris. On Aug. 26 ,2003 the Christian Evangelical Mission Church in Gran Canaria was established in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the capital city of Gran Canaria. A meeting was held at the Imperial Restaurant in the Northern District; and another meeting in the Playa del Inglés in the Southern District the following day.
